Setting Computer Networking in Windows
 
If you want to connect your computer to a computer network, then in addition to setting up a computer network hardware, you should also do the network settings on your computer system. So, after the hardware is available and assembled, the next step is to provide an Internet Protocol Address (IP Address) on the computer. IP addresses are required so that the computer can recognize each other.


The operating system used must support the protocol used for connections between networks. Commonly used protocol is TCP / IP.

If you are using Windows operating system, the following are the steps to install IP addresses:
1. Use the Start menu> Control Panel> Network Connections.

2. Right click on the Local Area Connection menu and choose Properties.

3. On the General tab, click the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and click Properties.

4. Write down the IP address (IP Address) that you want, for example, is filled with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.10. It should be noted, that each computer must have a different IP address.

5. Perform testing by opening a command prompt and type the command C: \> ping 192.168.1.10.
6. If the reply is already managed the computer is on the network and ready for use.
