Maintenance History of the Qur'an to the Prophet at The Caliph
At the beginning of the Arab nation Islam was a literate nation, very few of them are good at writing and reading. The
Arabs are not familiar with the paper as it is now, so for those who
can write and read, usually write it on anything that can write on.
The time of Prophet Muhammad s.a.wAlthough at that time the Arabs are illiterate, but they have a very strong memory. Maintaining their grip and narrated poems of the poets, the events that occurred and so is the mere memorization.
This
is why the Prophet took a practical manner that is consistent with the
situation in broadcasting and maintaining Qur'anul Al-Karim.
Each
verse was revealed, the Prophet ordered memorize it, and write it in
stone, animal skin, palm sheath, and anything that can be written. The Prophet explained the orderly sequence of verses. Prophet
conduct rules, namely the Qur'an are allowed to be written, apart from
the Quran, the Hadith or the lessons they learned from the mouth of the
Prophet are forbidden to write. The ban is the intention that the Quran is preserved, not conflated with others who also heard from the Prophet.
The Prophet suggested that the Qur'an memorized, always read, and compulsory to read while doing prayers. In this way, many are those who memorized the Qur'an. Letters are one kind, memorized by thousands of people, and many who memorized the entire Qur'an. In addition, there is no single verse that is not written down.
Versatility writing and reading was very much appreciated and the Prophet was so excited, he said:
"In the Hereafter ink later scholars would be weighed with the blood of martyrs"
In
the battle of Badr, the Prophet musyirin captured and can not be
redeemed himself with money, but good at writing and reading, each
required to teach ten Muslims to read and write in exchange for a
ransom.
Therefore,
bertambahlah desire to learn to write and read, and improved many of
their clever writing and reading, and began to multiply that wrote the
verses revealed. Prophet himself had some scribes who wrote the Qur'an assigned to him. Among Ali ibn Abi Talib, Uthman ibn Affan, Ubay ibn Ka'b, Zaid bin Thabit and Mu'awiyah.
Thus there are three elements that can maintain the Qur'an which was revealed, namely:
1. Recitation of those who memorized the Qur'an.
2. The texts were written by the Prophet
3. The texts were written by those who are good at writing and reading to them each.In addition, once a year, Jibril held replications (reps). At that time the Prophet was ordered to repeat play of the Qur'an which was revealed. In his death, was by Gabriel repeated twice. Prophet

face to establish or correct recitation or reading them.
When
the Prophet died, the Qur'an has been perfectly revealed and was
memorized by thousands of people, and has written all the verses. All the verses have been arranged in an orderly manner in order ditujikan by the Prophet.

short the Qur'an has been well maintained, and the Prophet had
undergone a very practical way to maintain and broadcast the Koran
according to the situation of the Arabs at that time.
One
thing that attracts attention, is that the Prophet had passed away when
his Al-Qur'an had been lowered enough, and the Koran was revealed at
the perfect time of the Prophet was approaching its time to return to
Allah SWT It is not a coincidence, but it has been governed by a mighty one.
